This film is about fighting, but less about who youre fighting and more what youre fighting for. It’s set in the country of nigeria specifically in a area of the Hausa people where Dambe Boxing is a way for locals to make money for their families. the protagonist is a prize fighter that uses his skills to help support his young daughter.

The main task was to develop a titilecard that could feel gritty, like it was painted on a fence with an old brush. this spirit carries into World building through merchandise design, and collaborative partnership with local black-owned snack company.

With what the film entails, a Title card. The director, “Gabriel Ugbodaga was keen to reach out because they had an existing title card that was still lacking personality.to increase legibility is unspoken, but the balance between personality and the former was key.
They needed to upgrade it withiout losing it’s essence.\

Through research, we found that while a plethora of stylistic inspiration is present in skateboarding culture, and used that to dictate type choice, and texture choices.
We found some inspiration in existing skate clubs in other places & took an existing logo, dissected what worked, and elaborated into our own.
By blending 3 marks that could work modularly by existing independently & as one, it provided broader opportunity for deployment. Grittiness was introduced by incorporating texture

Through the implementation, the why is to establish cohesive visual communication. This provided solutions that generate constant excitement for merchandise, events, and announcements.
passion versus intentions through a fight between a talented young man & a diligent father and what happens when the child steps in to protect her dad in a time of vulnerability. As such I chose to extrapolate that emotional moment, and build out merchandise around it
